For a long while, Cypress Shakes has been researching the potential for developing sales in the Japanese Mokuzai market. Our biggest problem has been knowing who to contact or how to go about it.
We do know that there is a tremendous potential for our products in the Mokuzai market. We handle Cypress, Heart Pine, American Chestnut, Wormy Chestnut, Hemlock, Eastern Aromatic Cedar, Black Ash, and Tamrac in large quantities. A lot of these we have in Old Growth as well as new growth. We produce timbers for timber framing as well as lumber to specification. We have hand hewn beams over one hundred years old.
Cypress Shakes handles Exotic lumber as well, and are certain we can be competitive in this arena. Since we know that no one can be any more competitive than we are, it is a certainty we can sell in the Japanese Mokuzai market.
Cypress Shakes had its origins in the cypress shakes industry. So it would be a tremendous accomplishment to sell any of our products there.
It has however became evident that while we (The United States of America) buy heavily from Japanese markets, they are not to interested in buying from us.This may be paranoia on my part but while I have interacted with European and many other Asian markets. I have yet to have any dialogue with a Japanese company.
We are still looking for a entry to the Japanese Mokuzai Market. Any assistance would be deeply appreciated.
The previous appeal to the jap. market has fallen on a blind eye as well as a deaf ear. It is quite apparent that after 6 years no one in the house of the rising sun is going to respond. So I withdraw my offer to do bussiness.
